The Catalan Data Protection Authority is an independent public body that ensures the protection of personal data rights and the right of access to information within public entities and private organizations performing public functions. We provide guidance on how these rights can be exercised. We also advise on the obligations established by data protection legislation and monitor compliance by the relevant entities. In this context, we work on the development of tools for trustworthy AI, such as the Catalan FRIA Model, which has recently been presented internationally as a pioneering methodology for fundamental rights impact assessments.
