Speaker Bio
Monica Madrigal is head of Barcelona Activa’s softlanding services for international companies, and talent. She is an economist specialised in public policies, foreign investment, and international talent mobility.
Along her career she has been a lecturer at the University of Barcelona, and she has also worked as head of the technical cabinet at the Barcelona Metropolitan Strategic Plan's Association. In the last fifteen years she has focused on economic promotion policies working from the Barcelona Economic Development Agency. She is in charge of the Business Landing Service, a one-stop-shop for high-added value investment projects in Barcelona, and she also coordinates the Barcelona International Welcome Desk, the city office for welcoming international talent (investors, entrepreneurs, qualified professionals, researchers and university students).
