Carla has a degree in Psychology from the University of Oviedo, a Master's degree in HR Management from ADM Business School and an MBA in Human Resources from Garrigues. She is also certified as a coactive coach.
She has a solid experience of more than fifteen years in the area of human resources, especially in the fields of talent attraction, development, compensation, strategy and leadership. She started in the world of consulting and jumped to the pharmaceutical industry in 2010, starting an extensive career at Merck, where she held different positions of responsibility. In 2018 she joined AstraZeneca Spain as Talent Acquisition & Talent Development HR Lead, and during this time she has contributed to strengthening the generational diversity strategy by launching the Recruiting Erasmus programme and has worked at regional level on the design of the Growing Talent Program.
In 2020, she took on the challenge of contributing to the transformation of the company by setting up two new teams: the combination of the Corporate Affairs, Market Access and Communication areas and the creation of a new Innovation and Digital Strategy area. She also coordinated the creation of the Vaccines and Immunotherapy unit. In 2022 she assumes the position of Human Resources Director of AstraZeneca Spain.
