Speaker Bio
Kamesh Shekar leads the Privacy and Data Governance vertical and AI Vertical at the Dialogue (Tech policy think based out of New Delhi, India). He is also a former fellow of The Internet Society. Kamesh holds a PGP in public policy from Takshashila Institution, an MA in media and cultural studies, and a BA in social sciences from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
Kamesh works on various research projects that identify and analyse the emerging policy challenges with evolving digital technologies that use data as the backbone for hastening service delivery while realising the economic value of data. He also studies the impact of emanating policy and regulations on the data-driven technology ecosystem, especially actively contributing to the discourse on India’s Data Protection Regime.
