Speaker Bio

Gonzalo Pérez is a seasoned venture capital investor and startup operator with over a decade of experience driving innovation and growth across Europe. As Head of Investments at Wayra Ventures in DACH Region, Gonzalo has led a record increase in annual investments and strengthened the DACH region’s investment network.


Previously, as Head of Business Development for Startups at Wayra Spain, Gonzalo was instrumental in generating over €250M in revenues for more than 100 portfolio startups through strategic partnerships with Telefónica, while supporting over 30 investments and maintaining a strong presence in Spain’s innovation ecosystem. His earlier roles include raising €150M in public funding at ATOS, a record achievement for both the company and the country, and founding a digital media startup that reached over 1 million users.


Gonzalo holds a Master’s in Market Research & Consumer Behaviour from IE Business School and a degree in Economics and Business from Salamanca University and ESCE Business School. Fluent in English, French and Spanish, he is recognized for his analytical rigor, public speaking, and deep commitment to fostering startup growth and investment across Europe.
