Laurent Arens van de Perre is a Venture Capital professional and Investment Director at BStartup, the early-stage investment arm of Banco Sabadell. He leads seed and pre-seed investing activities, partnering with founders building high-growth companies across fintech, data-driven solutions, SaaS, HealthTech and innovation-led business models.
Laurent manages the full investment cycle from sourcing and evaluation to execution and portfolio support and works closely with founders to navigate strategic decisions and scaling challenges. He also serves as a board observer across a broad portfolio of startups, helping guide them through growth and governance milestones.
He began his career at Banco Sabadell, gaining cross-functional experience across venture capital, corporate banking and analytics. Over the years he has developed deep expertise in early-stage company evaluation, financial structuring and investment strategy within the Spanish startup ecosystem.
Laurent’s academic background combines economics and corporate finance: he holds a B.A. in Economics from Universitat de Barcelona, and completed Master’s level studies in Business Management / Executive Corporate Finance at EAE Business School and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
