As part of the core team that designed, deployed and evolved Wayra (Telefónica Group's Corporate Venture Capital arm), he is a believer in Open Innovation as the most effective vehicle for adopting technologies and accelerating the transformation, digitalization and innovation strategies of any industry. Throughout his career, he designed, launched and implemented Corporate Venturing strategies for corporations across all industries and sectors, as well as for governements, in more than 15 countries.
Previously, as Head of Securities Markets , he advised telco industry in Public and Private Offerings in the stock markets of Europe, the United States and Latin America and managing some of the most important operations carried out in the telecommunications industry, such as the acquisition of Vivo and O2. He also managed other mergers, acquisitions and block trading transactions.
