Speaker Bio

Javier G. Recuenco is an applied Personetics and Complex Problem Solving expert, and the author of the first published book on personalization, Personalization (2004), released by Pearson – Financial Times. A serial entrepreneur, he has founded five startups and serves as a mentor at Plug and Play (Valencia / San Francisco). He has worked as co-orchestrator, organizer, and Personetics evangelist alongside several S&P 500 and niche mid-sized companies—including Econocom, Ricoh, Microsoft Spain, Samsung, Social Noise, and Brandits—driving customer-centric digital transformation, Social CRM and Social Personetics initiatives, innovation think tanks in Healthcare and Hospitality, and demand generation labs. He is also co-founder of Healthcare Personetics, a venture focused on transforming healthcare organizations through customer-centric strategies.


An IT expert, he has held several CTO roles, including at Netdecisions (UK-based IT strategy firm) and Ecuality, a pioneering Spanish e-commerce startup. He has also worked as an international consultant for firms such as Ernst & Young and SchlumbergerSema, and has delivered lectures and talks for corporations including Xerox and Oracle.


He has served as Chairman of MENSA Spain since 2020.


In academia, he is an international lecturer and speaker at leading business schools and institutions, including Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), IE Business School, CUNEF, ESIC Business & Marketing School, and UNIR, among others. At UNIR, he serves as postgraduate professor and council member in Big Data, Marketing, Strategy, Innovation, and Complex Problem Solving. He has also taught at the University of Southern Mississippi (Spanish branch) on object-oriented programming and emerging IT trends, and is a professor in the Technocreativity Master at Nomadia Business School. Across his professional and academic work, he focuses on advanced computer science, loyalty, big data, marketing innovation, and applied Personetics, bridging technology, strategy, and human-centered transformation.
