Speaker Bio

Ariadna has a background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) -she holds a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University in NLP-, and is now co-founder and CEO of Alinia, a startup focusing on enabling businesses to deploy AI reliably and safely.


As Senior Director of Engineering, leading Twitter's ML Platform organization, including META (ML Ethics Transparency and Accountability), she established Responsible AI as a top company-wide objective, and grew the META team with industry-leading experts who did groundbreaking work.


Previously, she was Director of ML Engineering, Watson (Data & AI) leading a large global organization of AI and software engineers across 5 labs to develop the next generation of AI-infused Applications and NLP services, including Watson Discovery, Watson Knowledge Studio and Knowledge Graph.
Ari was also Director, Emerging Technology Experiences and IBM Quantum Experiences at IBM Research.
