Speaker Bio
Ana Casaca is a senior innovation leader with over 20 years of experience across research, technology transfer and corporate innovation.
She is a board member of the European Innovation Council Board, contributing to Europe’s strategy to scale deep tech and translate scientific excellence into industrial leadership.
She began her career as a researcher in San Francisco under AICEP and Fulbright scholarships, before moving into industry to drive innovation through technology, startups and international collaboration.
Ana holds a degree in Microbiology from the Portuguese Catholic University and an MBA from Porto Business School, where she is an Invited Professor. She is also an Invited Associate Professor at ISEG and is completing the International Directors Programme (IDP) at INSEAD.
She is currently Director of Innovation at Galp, leading multidisciplinary teams across geographies and advancing new value pathways for the energy transition.
