From a young age, she has been involved in social movements, student organizations, and NGOs, as well as in political activity through the Socialist Youth. She also contributed to these areas between 2008 and 2016 through various Federal Executive Committees of the PSOE.

After several years dedicated to her teaching profession, in October 2022 she joined the team of Vice President Nadia Calviño at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation as Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure. She continued in this role following the creation in 2023 of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service, led by José Luis Escrivá. During this term, amid a significant increase in public investment in digitalization, she promoted the creation of the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT), a public business entity which she chaired.

In September 2024, she was appointed Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence under Minister Óscar López, a role that also makes her President of the public entity Red.es.
