Álvaro Aloña is the CEO and co-founder of Luzia, a personal assistant built for Gen Z with a strong footprint in Latin America and Spain. Since founding the company in April 2023, he has led Luzia’s rapid growth to more than 80 million users, scaling product, infrastructure, and teams while keeping the experience fast, accessible, and privacy-first.
Under his leadership, Luzia evolved from a WhatsApp-native assistant into a standalone app to sustain free, high-quality service at scale. Álvaro focuses on building consumer AI products with durable network effects—bringing together model performance, data systems, and product craft to define what GenAI looks like for the next generation of users.
