Session Description
Green-washing poses a genuine threat as it diverts attention and resources away from truly sustainable practices and innovations, slowing down overall progress towards environmental sustainability. The European Commission's Green Claims Directive (2023) aims to counter greenwashing by setting minimum requirements for businesses to verify their green claims. But, are we sufficiently agile to implement this effectively?
Andre Vanyi-Robin, Founder and CEO of Plastiks.io, believes we are. He argues that blockchain technology can be the fail-safe solution to end green-washing, while promoting the economic viability of green initiatives.
