Title: Women4Tech: Scaling growth: through diversity, leadership and management skills

Description:

This workshop is designed to help founders develop an understanding of the importance of building a diverse and inclusive organisation as they scale. It will show why inclusive leadership and diverse teams encourage the search for new information and perspectives, leading to better decision-making and problem-solving…and ultimately driving better results.

  • why does diversity matter?
  • top reasons why building diverse teams isn’t optional, but necessary

Title: Women4Tech: Reducing the gender diversity gap in the startup ecosystem

Description:

Around the world, businesses are recognising the favourable impact that gender diversity has on innovation and valuation. However, despite the clear benefits, the tech industry is still suffering from a low representation of women across the board: developers, executives, entrepreneurs and investors. In this session, opinion leaders representing driving forces in the innovation eco-system, will address questions such as: What best practices can startups adopt in order to attract and maintain a diverse team? Why are women-led startups struggling to raise funds and how can this be changed? How will gender balance impact the startup landscape 4 years from now?

Description:

The Hack_D_Gap Global Challenge reached out to startups and entrepreneurs from all over the world to get involved and submit their dynamic solutions that could help drive diversity forwards and equalise a gender balance from leaders to their employees within the tech industry.

In this session, the 6 startup finalists of the challenge will pitch in front of the jury and the audience to be selected as the winner of the global challenge. Meet the finalists:

  • Adalab (Spain) is a social startup that empowers young women to become leading professionals in the digital world.
  • Blunder (Spain) offers a solution to know the state of the business and to answer various needs of the employees.
  • Emerj (Israel) matches employees with internal mentors who are specifically relevant to the issue at hand and can offer immediate, relevant and discreet advice.
  • Fuelling (Netherlands) is an app for companies that encourages and rewards employees for their sportsmanship.
  • TeamEQ (Spain) is the first team analytics HR tool in real time. It has been designed to increase teams’ global performance and collective intelligence.
  • Work Wide Women (Italy) is a social network dedicated to the growth of female talent in technology.
