4YFN x UNDP present
Women Innovators Programme in the Arab Region
Jumpstarting Women-led Start-ups for the SDGs

4YFN and UNDP are joining forces to support women start-up entrepreneurs based in the Arab region who are using technological solutions to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.

Elevating women founders
With this collaboration, UNDP and 4YFN aim to support women in tech in the Arab region. While innovative, women-led start-ups are becoming more common in the region, women face significant barriers to entrepreneurship, such as lack of access to finance and discriminatory gender norms. Among the barriers is also a lack of business-relevant social networks and mentorship opportunities, which this programme seeks to address
21 founders. 210 hours of mentoring
UNDP will select twenty of the best early stage start-ups led by women to take part in a mentoring programme designed to provide them with new tools to develop and grow their projects, including practical guidance, meaningful connections, and industry insights.
The programme will engage 35 industry experts, serial entrepreneurs, and investors from the 4YFN Global tech community, as mentors.
