Sofia Muñoz

Sofía Muñoz is in charge of strategic partnerships at AWS Startups, focusing on Series A+ Venture Capital firms in Spain and Portugal. She supports startups with fundraising, strategy and go to market.  In addition she is a mentor at TheVentureCity, Venture Capital firm based in Miami, and advisor and Angel investor in several Web3 startups.

She has spent 13 years in the tech sector. She was an early employee at Facebook, doing growth for Latin America. Prior to Amazon Web Services she was General Manager for Latin America at Brainly (B2C, Education, 120M Unique Users) and Chief Operating Officer at Chicfy (€3.6M revenue fashion startup). Born in Spain to a Colombian mother, she has lived in 5 countries.

Sofía is MSc in Telecommunications Engineering by University of Seville, with specialization on innovative business models at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and (Stockholm) and Technical University of Vienna. She also holds an Executive MBA by IESE (Barcelona, Madrid), where she also worked in the Entrepreneurship department.
