Paloma Cañete

Description

Paloma Cañete is an Investment Manager at Fides Capital, a private investment group. She is responsible for analysing, investing in and monitoring companies with high potential and an innovative/technological approach. Since its inception, Fides has invested directly in more than 30 companies from various sectors (ICT, telecom, e-health, fintech, adtech, mobility, travel...) and in several specialized investment vehicles.
Within the start-up ecosystem, Paloma also participates in investment events and in mentoring and training programs for entrepreneurs and business angels. Additionally, she combines her main professional activity in Fides with two other roles: i) Member of the Executive Committee and Head of the Digital Group in Madrid Foro Empresarial, an independent business association focused on promoting digitization in companies, especially SMEs. and, ii) Independent Director at the crowdfunding platform Sego Finance.
Previously, she was Financial Director at Risi, S.A., a producer of appetizers. She has also worked in Puerto Rico in the risk department of Eurobank & Trust Co. and as a financial analyst at private equity firm Mercapital and at Grupo de Empresas de Desarrollo (GED), SEPI's venture capital vehicle.
