Maria is the Impact & ESG Manager at Oryx Impact, a fund of funds mobilising private capital towards Africa with a gender lens. Fostering the ecosystem of impact fund managers investing in Africa, with a substantial focus on women-led and emerging teams, Oryx Impact channels funding to enterprises that generate local and regional jobs and economic development, mitigate climate change and promote gender equality, while generating attractive financial returns. Maria is responsible for the design, development and implementation of Oryx Impact’s Impact Measurement & Management and Technical Assistance facility.

Leveraging her background in development economics and management, Maria advises and empowers organisations to find their purpose, integrate sustainability at their core and drive positive impact for people & planet. In this journey, she has worked with diverse stakeholders including FUNDAP (Guatemala), the United Nations Human Rights Council (Switzerland), Save the Children (Spain), GlobeScan (UK) and Deloitte (Spain), where she specialised in Responsible and Impact Investing.
