Juan Moreno Bau
Description
Juan is the Managing Director of Bankinter Innovation Foundation, an organization whose mission is to promote innovation in Spain. The Foundation fosters the development of the Spanish startup ecosystem through different initiatives, including a venture capital program investing in early-stage technology startups via Bankinter Capital Riesgo, which Juan leads within Bankinter.
Earlier in his career, Juan held different roles in software development, product management and strategic alliances in global technology and telecommunication multinationals such as Lucent Technologies, Motorola, and BT, where he led the BT-Cisco partnership globally. He was also part of Winphoria Networks, a technology startup which was acquired by Motorola in 2003.
Juan holds an MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and an Executive MBA from IESE Business School.
