Giuseppe Scionti (PhD in Biomedicine) is the Founder and CEO at NOVAMEAT, where he leads the development of the next generation of plant-based meat products, through proprietary tissue engineering technologies. Giuseppe has been featured on the international media (Forbes, Bloomberg, Guardian, CBS, Techcrunch, Business Insider, BBC, Mashable, Seeker, Newsweek, etc.) as the inventor of the world's first 3D printed plant-based meat, and was invited speaker at TEDx, SingularityU, European Parliament and United Nations conferences. Scionti was named one of the "Nine Innovators to Watch" by Smithsonian Magazine, and his project at NOVAMEAT was selected by Peter Diamandis among the "The 5 Big Breakthroughs to Anticipate in 3D Printing". In 2020, The Guardian named NOVAMEAT Steak 2.0 as the "most realistic" plant-based steak, and included the startup on the cover of its "Food in 2050" prediction.
