Dr. Shen is a physician and senior executive with over 19 years of Healthcare experience spanning Clinical Practice, Hospital Management and Healthcare IT. As the co-founder of an innovative & disruptive Mobile Healthcare Startup, Dr. Shen leads a team of over 260 healthcare and technology professionals who share a passion for changing healthcare, supporting the largest network of Trusted Doctors across China (420,000 credentialed physicians). Their goal is to empower Doctors to better manage their patients, their business, their private life, and as a result improve healthcare delivery for patients across China.

 

Dr. Shen has previously held senior industry positions including, Principal for Siemens Health Services (Healthcare IT – Global Top Talent), Clinical Director AsiaPac for iSOFT Group (CSC Healthcare Systems), and Deputy General Manager for the 1st Sino-US Joint Venture Hospital in China. Prior to China, Dr. Shen practiced Clinical Medicine within the Australian Public Healthcare System and Royal Australian Navy as a Surgeon-Lieutenant, where he also served in UN Peacekeeping Operations, Counter-terrorism operations during the Sydney Olympics and Active War Service. In 2012, Dr. Shen left the traditional healthcare industry and co-founded XinRen a mobile Healthcare Internet Company, backed by global top VC funding, targeted as transforming healthcare through disruptive innovation.

Within the Healthcare IT domain, Dr. Shen’s has in-depth domain knowledge and has presented at Healthcare IT conferences across China, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, as well being invited as a key guest on stage in industry events such as Intel’s Global Product Launch Key Note and Intel Capital Key Note events.

Dr. Shen holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of WA having entered Medical School at the age of 16. He is also the recipient of the Australian Students Prize (Top 200 students in Australia), ABN AMRO Morgan prize in Corporate and Structured Finance and was awarded the Top Officer Graduate (Naval Command Course) & Australian Active Service Medal during his service as a Medical Officer in the Royal Australian Navy.
