China enthusiast and tech passionate, Claudia Vernotti is Co-Founder and Director of ChinaEU. ChinaEU is the first business-led association to promote joint research, business cooperation and mutual investments in Internet, Telecom and Hi-tech between China and Europe, engaging industry leaders and top-level representatives of European Institutions and the Chinese government in bilateral dialogues and joint projects.
Technological entrepreneurship and innovation are at the core of the mission of ChinaEU. Claudia is now leading a new unit called SilkCamp, whose goal is to become the reference partner connecting European & Chinese startups, scale-ups, investors, corporates and accelerators.
Fluent in Mandarin, Claudia has studied and worked in China for five years, having served among others for the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and the Italian Embassy in Beijing. She holds a Chinese-English bilingual Master in International Studies and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University in Nanjing and a Bachelor in Chinese Studies from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
