O-RAN Fronthaul and O-RU IPs
RF DSP’s O-RU IP consists of 5G NR and LTE low PHY, O-RAN WG4 CUS-plane and M-plane 7.2x split fronthaul over eCPRI to an O-DU. The IP core supports the complete O-RU processing chain for CUS and M-planes. The IP core is fully-test for O-RAN and 3GPP compliance, supports up to 8T8R, up to 400MHz OBW, Sub-6GHz and mmWave, TDD and FDD, multiple component carriers (CCs), mixed numerologies of subcarrier spacings (SCSs), all PRACH formats, compression /decompression, both 4G and 5G with dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS), optional carrier combining with NR + LTE+ LTE-M/NB-IoT and NR mixed numerology support. The O-RU IP is optimized for AMD’s RFSoC DFE family of chips (ZU67/65), utilizing hardened IP blocks for utilizing hardened IP blocks for low PHY, PRACH, channel filters, CFR and DPD. A System Development Environment with DU and UE emulation and a reference design and interface for DFE configuration and testing are also available.
