Wegaw empowers the energy transition with a fusion of satellite imagery, geospatial data and AI. Hydropower stakeholders worldwide are utilizing this climate-tech’s proven, highly accurate and near real-time snow pack datasets to correct forecasting prediction errors by 30% to 50%, which helps to increase production and income without the need for further infrastructure investment, whilst enabling energy security and financial risk mitigation. Currently, Wegaw is exploring how it could assist alpine solar projects to identify and assess optimal installation sites. The pioneering team collaborates with the European Space Agency, SFOE, and is backed by international investors such as BStartup.
