Digital Health & Wellness Summit
Monday 27th February | 10:00 – 20:00h

Impact Growth is the Startup Accelerator made by top accelerators, global brands and VCs. In 2017-2018 Impact Growth will invest a total of €3.6 million euros equity-free in startups in the following verticals: Smart Cities; Media, AdTech and Content; Smart Manufacturing; and AgriFood.
Selected startups will be financed with €100,000 in the first phase. The best of these startups will subsequently be identified to be privately funded with up to €1.5M. To enter the program, startups must adopt FIWARE technology.

Women4Tech is a new GSMA programme being introduced at Mobile World Congress 2017 and 4YFN 2017. Focused on successfully addressing and reducing the gender gap in the mobile industry, Women4Tech will take a meaningful look at gender equality and gender diversity in the global tech startup community during 4YFN Barcelona 2017.
Apart from interactive workshops and a Women4Tech diversity panel during 4YFN, there will be a special recognition award that celebrates exceptional women, plus an exclusive Hack_D_Gap global challenge.
The Hack_D_Gap Global Challenge reached out to startups from all over the world to submit their dynamic solutions that could help drive diversity forwards and promote a gender balance within the tech industry. Come meet the finalists at the Hack_D_Gap startup corner and cheer for them as they pitch on stage during the Hack_D_Gap finals!
Global Mobile Challenge
Global Mobile Challenge is an entrepreneurship competition where innovators from around the world first compete in their global region final to win a trip to Barcelona to take the overall crown. In partnership with 4YFN (Four Years From Now) and Mobile World Congress, The Global Mobile Challenge brings together teams from every continent through regional competitions culminating in the final in Barcelona.
This is the biggest mobile application competition for young entrepreneurs & innovators from all over the world featuring apps, IOT and other mobile solutions in both software and hardware. Teams are provided with training, education and access to an international network of mentors, angel investors, venture capitalists, and industry leaders.

Cybersecurity Hackathon by Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE)
From Monday 27th February (10:00) until Wednesday 1st March (13.00)
The “4YFN Cybersecurity Hackathon” is a security competition or event with a prior online proposal selection process to select the participating teams, and a final onsite phase that will last for two and a half days, and it aims to:
- Develop open source tools, solutions and/or mobile applications in the cybersecurity or IoT (Internet of Things) security fields in a short time frame, with a focus on the development of specific functionalities.
- Identify talent and technical and creative capacity and abilities among its participants.
- Provide a useful educational environment for learning about software development and research.
- Challenging and competitive environment to acquire real-world experience.
- Encourage group work and collaboration between participating team members, and promote networking.
- Motivating environment that promotes fun and entertainment while learning.
Cybersecurity Hackathon is being organised by Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), dependent on the Spanish Ministry for Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda, through Secretary of State for the Information Society and Digital Agenda.
The aim of this Cybersecurity Hackathon is to encourage participation by individuals or teams composed of professionals, developers, researchers or students interested in developing open source tools, solutions and/or mobile applications in the cybersecurity or IoT (Internet of Things) security fields.
This event is free and open to the public. It will take place from Monday 27 February until Wednesday 1st March at 4YFN, where the competing teams will be designing and developing their own security tools or solutions. The finalists presentations, whose projects are evaluated during the whole competition by an expert jury, will take place on Wednesday 1st March in the Spanish Pavilion at 4YFN from 11:00 until 13:00 and will end up with the prize-giving that same afternoon from 17:00 hours.

1ST Language Technologies Hackathon
Monday 27th February | 10.30 – 18.30
This event is free and open to the public. It is taking place on Monday 27 February in the Pabellón de España (Spanish Pavilion) at 4YFN from 10:30 (finalists presentation) and ends with the prize-giving that same afternoon from 17:00. From 17:30 to 19:30, there will be a space for networking with participants and NLP experts from all over Spain.
The aim of this hackathon is to encourage participation by companies, freelancers and research groups interested in language technologies. It is being organised by Red.es in collaboration with the State Secretariat for the Information Society and the Digital Agenda (SESIAD). This action is part of Spain’s Plan to Promote Language Technologies, the aim of which is to promote the development of natural language processing and machine translation in Spanish and the other co-official languages.
The “1st Language Technologies Hackathon” is a competition or event with a prior online phase and a final in-person phase and it aims to:
– Develop language technology applications in a short time frame, focusing on the development of specific functionalities based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Translation (MT).
– Identify talent and technical and creative capacity among its participants.
– Provide a useful educational environment for learning about language technologies.
– Give exposure to the capacities the language technology sector.
– Encourage group work and collaboration between participating groups.
