How to get to 4YFN?

 

By Metro

The closest metro stop to the 4YFN venue is Plaça Espanya, L1 line (red) and L3 line (green).

free shuttle bus will transport you to and from the venues every 10 minutes (Fira Montjuïc to Fira Gran Via).

Who can attend 4YFN?

The event is open to anyone over the age of 16. You just need to purchase a ticket. People under 16 years of age will only be admitted to the event if accompanied by an adult or legal guardian. The parents or guardians must ask the organisation and complete a letter of authorization, please click here to see our terms and conditions.

What is available for children?

Mobile Explorers Club will be held as part of YoMo throughout MWC for 8 to 15-year-old children. Mobile Explorers Club provides child minding services for MWC and 4YFN delegates and exhibitors and will operate across all four event days inside Fira Montjuïc, providing a variety of activities to educate and entertain children (including tours of MWC and 4 Years From Now) while their parents attend or work at the event. This year it offers unrestricted access to YoMo: The Youth Mobile Festival an exciting, educational, but – most importantly – fun experience. Explorers will learn new skills and discover the world of science and technology through hands-on interactive educational programme in a friendly and safe environment.

Will there be disabled access?

The 4YFN Venue is accessible for wheelchair users.

4YFN has partnered with Barcelona based company Disabled Accessible Travel (DAT) and Smart Destination Consulting (SDC) providing the following accessible services:

  • Accessible Airport Transfers, (100% adapted transport)
  • Accessible Transfers, hotel to event (100% adapted transport)

  • Accessible Tour Services, before, during and post event (100% adapted transport)

Where should I look for accommodation?

The best places to search accommodation from are near the venue in the Poble Sec region of Barcelona or in Barcelona city center as it is only two train stop or a 10-minute taxi ride away from the venue. We don’t have any preferred hotel partners but there are a large number of hotels in the region.

Where is the closest airport?

Barcelona Airport (El Prat) is our local airport with two terminals. It is roughly 10 minutes in a taxi or on the Aerobus to the venue.

Will there be food at the venue?

There will be a number of catering outlets set up within the venue that can provide food and drinks for the majority of attendees.

How do I get my badge?

Once you have purchased your ticket online, you will receive an email with a unique QR code. Please show this QR code and your photo ID to the registration desk to receive your badge that will allow you access to the event.

When is the registration office open?

The registration office will be open at the venue on Sunday 26 February from 10:00 – 19:00. We recommend you collect your badge on this day to avoid queuing during event hours.

  • Sunday 26th February: 10.00 – 19.00 h
  • Monday 27th February: 8.30 – 19.00 h
  • Tuesday 28th February: 9.00 – 19.00 h
  • Wednesday 1st March: 9.00 – 18.00 h

How can I access Mobile World Congress?

All 4YFN passes include access to the Mobile World Congress Exhibition at Fira Gran Via on Thursday, 2 March.  4YFN Passes must first be used at 4YFN at Fira Montjuïc between Monday, 27 February and Wednesday, 1 March in order to qualify for access to Mobile World Congress Exhibition on Thursday, 2 March MWC Exhibition access.  Passes which have not been used for 4YFN entry at Fira Montjuïc during the event will not be valid at Mobile World Congress on Thursday, 2 March.

Please, note the passport or EU identity card that will be required onsite, will need to be the same information that you have already entered on the registration system.
