Session Description

Since the 18th century, we've witnessed a natural and accelerated evolution through successive industrial phases. Industry 4.0, characterised by cyber-physical systems, AI/ML, automation, networking, IoT, and more, has significantly digitalised and revolutionised our world. While we continue to marvel at the benefits of this ongoing industrial revolution, it prompts the crucial question: is the next transformative phase already here?

At the forefront of the evolution is Industry 5.0, centred on mass personalisation. This visionary concept proposes an industrial landscape that, by breaking down silos, operates with a human-centric approach. The intent is to holistically shape and meaningfully impact future digital societies.

Join us as we embark on the journey to define Industry 5.0. Expert voices from diverse ecosystems will deliberate on whether this new phase genuinely places humans at its heart, potentially ushering in an era of enhanced human-machine collaboration and a return of manpower to the floor.

Additionally, we will explore the intricacies of hyper-customisation and examine the pivotal roles that 5G, Cloud, AI, and other frontier technologies will play in the transition from 4.0 to 5.0.
