Transform to a Techco & Lead the Telecommunications Future

The term "techco" is a relatively new buzzword that has emerged to describe the transformation of traditional telecommunications companies (telcos) into more technology-focused and innovative businesses. This transformation is driven by the rapid pace of technological change and the increasing demand for digital services. The evolution of telcos into techcos reflects the convergence of telecommunications and technology. As the digital world becomes increasingly interconnected and reliant on data, techcos are poised to play a crucial role in shaping the future of communication and innovation. Today’s telcos know that in order to survive and thrive in the digital age they should be built around their customers, with an ability to continuously respond and adapt to ever-changing needs.

Techcos are the modern evolution of traditional telecommunications companies that have embraced the digital landscape and beyond. They prioritize innovation, digital transformation, and customer experience. In the pursuit of techco status, recognizing ambition alone won't suffice. A strategic paradigm shift is imperative, necessitating a holistic restructuring of the telco company's operational landscape. Learn how telcos that transform to telcos have enhanced their focus on:

  1. Client centricity: Understand and meet the needs and expectations of customers, both internal and external. Develop products or services that solve real problems, enhance productivity, or provide entertainment. Establish strong relationships with customers and act on their feedback to improve offerings.

  1. Digital experience: Deliver products or services through various digital channels, platforms, and formats. Ensure a seamless, intuitive, and engaging user experience across different devices, networks, and contexts.

  1. Automation: Automate processes and operations using technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, or cloud computing. Reduce costs, increase efficiency, improve the quality, and accelerate innovation through automation.

  1. Data utilization: Collect, store, analyze, and use data to generate insights, make decisions, and create value. Apply data-driven approaches to optimize performance, personalize offerings, and discover new opportunities.

Telco companies that can effectively evolve are more likely to succeed in their transformational journeys and maintain a competitive edge in the evolving digital landscape. By embracing agility, fostering innovation, and prioritizing customer needs, telcos can navigate these challenges and emerge as leading players in the future of telecommunications.

The rollout of 5G has seen both a rise in IoT applications and a colossal increase of data, but are industries unlocking the full value within this? This vast amount of data is an important revenue stream and helps to build the value in 5G, bringing the ROI the industry has been waiting for. This does however come with challenges such as legitimate data harvesting and storage, privacy regulations, and anti-trust of those that own and use the data. So, the key question remains, how can telcos and organisations monetize the data they hold whilst building trust with consumers? Join us in this thought provoking session as we welcome telcos and industry vertical leaders to show us how this can be done!
