Since 1350, the University of Perpignan Via Domitia (UPVD) has been a vector of knowledge, research and innovation within its territory and internationally. It is a modestly-sized multidisciplinary university, that serves Occitania, Southern Catalonia and the international community. Each year, UPVD welcomes 9,500 students representing 120 different nationalities. Renewable energies, biological environments, environmental humanities, environmental law, tourism, and cultural heritage are the academic and research domains that define the UPVD. Barcelona Digital Talent promotes market competitiveness in order to deal with the current digital talent gap. In order to establish Barcelona as a capital for talent, the programme promotes digital reskilling of professionals and the attraction, nationally and internationally, of new professionals on the market.
