xside presents leading international voices in music and technology as speakers and performers for first event

- A keynote from electronic music innovator and technology advocate Richie Hawtin and performance by music icon Honey Dijon among others will take the xside stage
- xside will take place 24-26 of February at Fira Montjuïc, in parallel to 4YFN and MWC Barcelona 2020
- xside will welcome over 25,000 attendees across three days and up to 5,000 each night and will feature more than 20 hours of stage content and up to 50 speakers, exploring themes that include: Creativity & technology; Entertainment beyond the screen; Design for 2030; Education and work in the third era of computing; Innovating for truth and trust.
xside, the new co-curated event experience, a collaboration between 4YFN, Sónar and MWC held alongside MWC Barcelona in February 2020, announces top-flight international DJs and artists as part of the speaker and performance program.
Renowned electronic music pioneer, DJ, producer and technologist Richie Hawtin will deliver a headline keynote exploring the relationship between technology and creativity, while superstar artist Honey Dijon will play an evening session for delegates and guests on the evening of Wednesday, 26 February 2020.
Other artists confirmed so far are one of the most streamed artists in France, Folamour; the force behind the UK urban underground Jamz Supernova; Tutu and its infectious grooves; Awwz, a mainstay in the Barcelona scene and house music ambassadors CEE Shepherds.
Taking place within the 4YFN venue, from 24-26 February 2020 at Fira Montjuïc, in parallel to 4YFN and MWC Barcelona 2020, xside is a new gathering including conference, networking and music to explore the role technology, design and innovation play in the future of creativity, culture and business.
xside will welcome over 25,000 attendees across three days and up to 5,000 each night and will feature more than 20 hours of stage content and over 50 speakers, exploring themes that include: Creativity & technology; Entertainment beyond the screen; Design for 2030; Education and work in the third era of computing; Innovating for truth and trust.
To accommodate these new changes to the 4YFN programme, the event will double its footprint, moving venue from Hall 8 at Fira Montjuic to the courtyard where Sónar by Day is traditionally held.
More speakers and artists will be announced in the New Year.
