Spanish pavilion at 4YFN: a boost for Spanish startups

For the fifth consecutive year, Red.es and ICEX are jointly organising the Spanish Pavilion at 4YFN.

In this edition, 40 startups will participate, representing the following verticals: “Frontier Tech” “Frontier Tech” -Artificial Intelligence, connectivity (5G and networks), robotics, materials (graphene, quantum materials)- and “Deep Tech”., ” Deep Tech Digital Health”, “Digital Health”-digital patient registration, analytics applied to health, diagnostics, remote control monitoring, wearables mental health, wellness, nutrition and fitness-, “Sport Tech”, “Sport Tech” Fintech”, and “Impact Impact” -companies with solutions or services that respond to the challenges of the United Nations 2030 Agenda-. 

Within the general programme of 4YFN, the Spanish Pavilion will participate with three sessions:

We will start with the workshop “Next Generation EU: current initiatives by Red.es & ICEX Next Generation EU: current initiatives by Red.es & ICEX” that will take place on Monday, 28th February, between 16:45 and 17:00. In this workshop, Red.es will present the Kit Digital aid package -aimed at helping companies in their digital transformation process-, and ICEX will present the Desafía initiative, an entrepreneurship ecosystem immersion programme aimed at startups. It will feature speakers José María Blasco, Director of Infrastructures, Health and ICT at ICEX, and David Crespo, Head of Information Systems.

We will continue on Tuesday, 1 March with a session on the main stage, entitled ” Succes Stories in Spain: Innovation Anywhere Succes Stories in Spain: Innovation Anywhere”. In this activity, which will be moderated by the CEO of ICEX, María Peña, we will hear the story of two startups that have been extremely successful without being located in the main entrepreneurship hubs.  

That same day in the afternoon, from 14:45 to 17:00, the startups will participate in a pitching session, entitled “Spain Pavilion showcase Spain Pavilion showcase”, aimed at presenting their business activity to potential investors, both national and international.   

Like every year, the Spanish Pavilion will organise networking and institutional meetings between the companies and representatives of the public sector, such as the Director General of Red.es, Alberto Martínez Lacambra or the CEO of ICEX, María Peña. The Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, Carme Artigas, and the High Commissioner for Spain as an Entrepreneurial Nation, Francisco Polo, will also visit the startups in the pavilion. 

ICEX and Red.es are doing everything possible to ensure that the startups participating in the Spanish Pavilion can make the most of the event.
