Congratulations to the finalists of the 4YFN Shanghai Awards!

We are delighted to announce the winners of this year’s 4YFN Shanghai Awards. This year we have selected five finalists who will pitch to a panel of investors live on stage at 14:00 on 28 June in Shanghai.

Our finalists overcame dozens of entrants from around the world to make the shortlist for this year’s big prize in Shanghai. After an initial assessment by the crack team at 4YFN, a panel of judges reviewed their entries to establish their innovativeness, funding, viability, fit and team dynamics.This year’s finalists are:

YouBeWon (China) – is building a large data service platform and products based on operator networks. Its core team members come from Huawei, Lenovo, HNA and other well-known Chinese tech companies. The business has already attracted millions of dollars in angel investment and big name partners in the real estate and telecoms sectors as customers.

ClareKnows (China) – delivers interactive AI-powered marketing solutions. It engages existing and potential customers using artificial intelligence natural language chat and provides product recommendations and information to customers, partners and employees.

RefundMe (Netherlands) – is a platform that digitizes the VAT refund process for Non-European tourists using IoT

Ambeent (USA) – An app that optimises Wi-Fi by reducing wasted capacity and interference from neighbouring routers using predictive AI.

BroadBit Batteries (Finland) – a novel low-cost, sodium chloride battery technology with 50% more energy per unit cost and 25% more energy per unit mass as lithium-ion with significant environmental benefits. 

4YFN’s director Pere Duran offered his congratulations to the finalists, saying: “Once again, we were truly impressed by the quality of entries this year.
